Yes thats right I (or we if you include my happy parents, I know I do!) are fostering again! The call came at Thursday lunchtime, that puppies had been surrendered to the pound. The Foster Care coordinator didn’t know how many, what breed or how old but would I consider taking them?
I admit I did think it over, things are a bit different from last time, I am working full time now. But a quick check with a friend to see if she could feed the pups at lunchtimes when I couldn’t and I was in.
It turned out to be two little girls, from a litter of four (the other two have gone to another dog rescue here in Albury), they are (we think) Staffy/Rhodesian Ridgeback, which sounds tough but they are really very sweet.
So far I don’t think their six and a bit weeks of life have been much fun. They were just infested with worms, and too skinny and just desperate for food.
They will need to be desexed and fattened up a bit before they are ready for adoption in the meantime….
Presenting Emily (black) and Shilo (brindle)

Aww. I bet Dad loves them!
